Fabulous Jadeite, Ruby and Diamond Earrings in 18k, Circa 1970, Signed
Likely made in or around the 1970s this pair of jadeite earrings are of impressive quality. The translucent green jade cabochons are perfectly matched and measure 16x13mm with a depth of approximately 6mm. They are set into overlapping swirls of solid 18k gold with bright white diamonds and ruby cabochon accents. The richness of the gold and its natural patina creates a visual depth that highlights the design showing off the fluid, tapering lines and the natural beauty of the selected stones. Typical of this league of jewelry they are signed by the maker yet I have not been able to decipher which artist’s mark it is. (see close up, resembles infinity knot). Hallmarked 750 for 18k, designed with posts for pierced ears and secured with omega style closures. The overall measurement top to bottom is 27mm and left to right measures 19mm. Each earring weighs approximately 11.9 grams.
