Sapphire and Ruby Flower Ring with Old Mine Cut Diamond and Emerald Accent, circa 1950
This mid century ring has such a whimsical and stylish personality! Designed as overlapping blossoms with an asymmetrical flair the largest of which is comprised of a dozen cornflower blue sapphires and an old mine cut diamond in 14k white gold while the smaller flower is done in 14k yellow gold with five pink ruby petals and a beautiful green emerald cabochon. The yellow gold shank curves around in a way that keeps the asymmetrical orientation as intended. For a ring of it’s size (23mm x 20mm) it sits rather low (4mm) and it’s slight curve makes it very comfortable on the finger. Currently a size 7 and sizable upon request.
