This is such an impressive locket! Dating from around the turn of the last century, circa 1910, it has quintessential Art Nouveau design details. But more noteworthy than that is the size! It measures a surprising 2-1/2”across! The decorative front panel is set with a fantasy cut glass stone in a Madeira citrine color with three steely-gray paste stones at the top. The interior measurement allows for one or two 2-1/4” round photos. In fact, there are two charming vintage photos already in place! Should you like to insert your own photos they can be removed very easily. Yet what I often do to preserve the romantic history of a locket is simply lay my own photos on top of the old ones.
