1950s Emerald and Diamond Cocktail Ring
This ring is an absolute knock-out! Most likely a custom made, one of a kind design, it features two exceptional old European cut diamonds. They are estimated to weigh approximately .30ct and .20ct and they project amazing brilliance and a dazzling play of color. They are surrounded by an organic arrangement of emeralds which sit atop 12 diamond studded stylized flower petals. The petals are arranged in a naturalistic way and are intertwined with 4 diamond "ribbons" that gracefully loop in and out, creating a soft and contrasting contour amongst the pointed petals. Each stone and/or petal stands elevated at the end of a strong gold wire. This design choice creates an open and airy situation beneath the stones which allows an optimal amount of light through. As a result, each stone sparkles and dances in either dim or bright lighting! The small diamonds total approximately .25ct so combined with the two larger diamonds at the top the overall total carat weight is approximately .75ct. The 10 genuine emeralds total approximately .40ct. The ring was crafted out of 14k white gold and is hallmarked accordingly on the inside of the band. The shank begins as a slender, hidden support below two of the ribbon features and then broadens slightly to become a simple and comfortable 2.5mm wide band. Currently a size 7 and sizable upon request.
