Sterling Silver Hobé Chatelaine Pin, Circa 1940
Incredible signed Hobé sterling silver chatelaine brooch with clean, crisp stones in the same sensational color of natural blue zircon. Extra large size and in perfect condition! The left side is designed with two floral medallions with opposing decorative scrolls and three sterling tassels. The right side is a crescent moon with overlapping leaves and vines from which hang three more sterling tassels. The two sides connect with three draping chains that vary in length from 6-1/2” to 8-1/2”. The medallion side measures 1-7/8” across from scroll to scroll and 2-1/4” long from the top edge to the bottom of the hanging medallion. The lowest hanging tassel adds an additional 1-1/4” of length. The crescent moon measures approximately 2-1/2” long with the tassels adding another 1-1/2”. A very collectible piece of costume jewelry from one of the most stylish periods in history!
