Georgian Topaz and Seed Pearl Earrings, 14k Gold Circa 1820
These authentic Georgian-era earrings feature a total of six foil-lined golden topaz stones set into 14k gold with closed backs and perfect little seed pearl halos. A single loop connects each segment providing subtle movement and a demure length. Measuring from the top of the gold wires to the bottom of the last drop they are 1-1/2” long. Each segment measures approximately 3/8” square. Dating to the earliest part of the 19th century (circa 1800-1820) the condition is rather remarkable. The stones are bright and crisp, the foil remains reflective and the pearls are secure and original. There is very minor wear to the domed surfaces of gold on the reverse yet these blemishes in no way detract from the beauty or value of the earrings.
