Gorgeous Edwardian Filigree and Diamond Necklace, Circa 1920 with Ooriginal Chain
Such a gorgeous Edwardian necklace! Circa 1920 it is composed of incredibly fine 14k gold filigree in a stunning combination of crisp, geometric lines and feminine, organic accents. Incorporated into the design are five little diamonds, the largest of which is an approx .10ct transitional cut. What makes this piece particularly special is that it has remained intact with its original chain. The pendant itself is suspended from a dainty link that serves as a nice continuation of the patterns within the pendant. This upper link splits the chain in two where there are three identical links on each side. Where the decorative links end a simple chain link begins. The overall length from end to end is 17” with the full two-part pendant drop length measuring 2-1/8”. The widest point measures 11/16” or nearly 3/4”. This is an utterly timeless piece of jewelry, an elegant classic!
