Elaborate 1920s Chinese Export Turquoise Bracelet
This 1920s Chinese export bracelet is by far one of the most impressive examples I’ve seen! Made of very finely worked silver it has a rich gold vermeil surface and features gorgeous blue, purple and yellow enamel work. Set prominently in the center is a rather large turquoise cabochon that measures 22mm by 16mm. The color is a warm “robin’s egg” blue whichever stands out dramatically against its golden filigree background. Each of the three panels are slightly curved so that when the clasp is snapped closed the inside of the bracelet forms a nearly perfect circle. The center panel flares dramatically in the middle measuring 1-5/8” at its widest point. The two outer panels flare and then taper towards the clasp and their widest point measures 1-1/4” The overall condition is excellent with only a tiny 1mm piece of enamel missing near the base of the bracelet. In fact it is hardly noticeable even once you are aware of it but I feel it’s important to point it out! Based on the inner circumference, the best fit will be on a wrist that measures between 6-1/2” and 7”. If you have any concern or question about fit please just let me know! This is really a stunning piece of jewelry...a true work of art and an incredible addition to any antique jewelry collection.
