This late 19th century bracelet was designed in Europe at a time when Eastern arts and culture were quite influential. Resulting in a unique style referred to as “Chinoiserie” you can see in this example how the flared ends of the diamond studded bypass resemble the brushstrokes of Chinese characters. Nestled between the two opposing curves is a series of alternating emeralds and diamonds. On center at the widest point the bracelet measures approximately 1-3/4”. The inner dimensions are 2-1/4” from hinge to clasp and 1-13/16” high. Ideal fit for a wrist that measures between 6” and 6-1/2” give or take. Any question regarding size/fit please just let me know. Clasp holds securely and a small safety chain has been added at some point over the years. There are two small touch marks which are difficult to make out but give me enough information to confidently call the bracelet European. The gold tests as 18k.
