Wow, what a lovely ring! The aquamarine in this 1920s-30s ring is a +/-1.50ct rectangular Asscher cut and is a beautiful, calming light blue. The depth of the stone in combination with the crisp facets results in a remarkably brilliant jewel! It sits prominently in an Art Deco 18k white gold mounting and is flanked by two gorgeous little transitional cut diamonds. The carved details in the ring itself are extraordinary. North and south of the aquamarine are two beautifully ornate prongs designed with strong Art Deco characteristics...they are a geometric, stair step shape which is then enhanced with excellent, finely carved feather-like lines. The shank falls gracefully from the diamond shoulders and is decorated with a continuation of the same carved pattern that is featured on the prongs. As a finishing touch, there is delicate milgraining along the high point of the shank, along the edges of the shank and around the two diamonds. This ring really is beautiful. The stone, the setting, the style...all of it! It's gorgeous. It would make an excellent alternative engagement  ring or just a lovely piece of jewelry to wear on your wedding day. (Something blue!)
